Adventures In Cooking #2

So, it is the holidays season and it was time for my work's holiday bake-off contest. Last year I managed to tie for 1st for Taste with my Chocolate Cayenne Truffles, so of course I needed to bring my A game again this year.

Uzuhi Live @ 2010 Sakura Matsuri

Figured I do a quick post on a band a I saw a few weeks at the 50th Annual Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival in DC ...... UZUHI!!! Uzuhi put up some nice photos of their performances on their myspace blog; I even managed to appear in a couple of the photos (but it's a bit like "Where's Waldo?")

HD Remakes

Since the release of the God of War Collection, which provided 720p updated versions of PS2 God of War 1 & 2, people have been talking about what PS2 games they would like to see in an updated HD release. The most notable rumor floating around the internet currently has been an updated release of ICO & Shadow of the Colossus to lead up to the release of The Last Guardian, similar to God of War Collection coming out before God of War 3. That got me thinking about what games I would like to see HD releases for, but I’m going to expand my selection of games outside of PS2 classics. Below is a list of games I played or really want to play that I want HD releases for:

My Most Anticipated Games of 2010

As a gamer, I tend to look toward to the future for the next great game to play and sometimes this look into the future can be a couple of years (some games I see really far in the future may never come out ... very disappointing). Below I have compiled a list of ten games that I'm most excited about for 2010. This list is in alphabetical order, not by ranking, and only includes games for systems I can play, so PS3/360/PC.

My New Toy

Well, I recently received my new toy, the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X. I haven't had very much time to play with it, yet; mainly because I was pushing to get some work stuff done this week. Even with the limited amount of time, I figured I post some pictures and compare it with my old Acer Aspire 3004WLMi.

First Post of the New Year

Well, it is the start of a new year and it looks like I'm already slacking on my goal to try and update the blog at least once a week. Tsk-tsk on me. Hopefully, I'll start to get better about updating my blog more regularly, but as work deadlines get closer it will get tough.

It is the New Year, well a little after, so I'll go with a classic New Year's post and put up some resolutions.

1. Currently set at 1280 x 1024. Wait, New Year's resolutions not screen resolutions.
   
2. Obviously, as stated above, try to update the blog once a week ... I probably should pick a day for updates, eventually.
   
3. Read at least two of my Haruki Murakami books (I'm starting to have a backlog of his books) and my Bruce Campbell books.
4. Try to get out of the apartment more and do things, like hang out with friends and try new restaurants.

Well, I'm going to keep this post short this time, but a new post is coming soon. I promise it is resolution #2, plus I have the idea for my next post already (^_-).
